Churchill Venture Capital was founded by Danny Wettreich, a venture
capitalist for over 30 years. With a personal experience of more than 45 different venture capital investments in both the U.S.A. and Great Britain, he has created a small and flexible organization that is very selective in its investment portfolio.
In his role as chairman of Churchill Venture Capital, Danny Wettreich
has personally been involved in each portfolio investment, providing
his expertise of both public and private companies to assist in
the development of each business. With a background in merchant
banking, retail, wholesale, manufacturing, telecommunications,
Internet technologies, real estate, and fine art, he has provided the intellectual capital as well as venture
capital funds that are required for small companies to succeed.
Churchill Venture Capital has primarily funded early stage businesses that have the potential to mature in the short term into viable public companies. In recent years such investments have been very selective as Danny Wettreich has reduced his business commitments. More emphasis has been placed upon real estate investments.
Danny Wettreich is also a passionate art collector and is Chairman of European Art Gallery, private dealers in fine art offering one of the largest collections of European paintings in America. Originally from London, England he has been a U.S. citizen for 18 years, and a Dallas resident for 23 years. He is actively involved in charitable activities and for five years was a director of the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth. He is currently Chairman of the Dallas-Fort Worth Committee for Heritage, the local affiliate of The Heritage Foundation. He is also Chairman of the Executive Council of the Committees for Heritage.
